Don't let the Dr title fool you! I'm still a Prayer Warrior!

As a Christian, I believe the scripture in the Bible that tells us to pray without ceasing, which means that I trust God in everything I do. My life constantly communicates with God in how I live, walk, talk, etc. Pray without ceasing does not mean being at your bedside, on your knees 24/7 praying. Prayer is communication with God. Communication is not one-sided. It is talking and listening. My doctoral journey kept me in prayer because of the stress and challenges I endured. My prayer during this time was focused on my dissertation for guidance on interpreting and representing my data meaningfully and respectfully to all implicated.

As a Christian, I have always loved prayer. I am an intercessor for my family and home. Growing up, I knew my family's prayers kept me, and I wanted to give back. No testimony in my life came without prayer. For the story I am about to tell you, some people would say it doesn't take all of that. But I beg to differ. As for me and my house, it does.

During my 3/6-mile daily treadmill workout, the Holy Spirit told me to clean the attic. He reminded me that it was on my bucket list once I graduated. It's time to start. So, after my morning workout, I showered, changed, and began.

I went into the attic and started by taking a detailed review and visual calculation to see what was needed. Looking at all the boxes and getting an idea of what was within the boxes. I took down a few smaller boxes to get started until Danny could get home and help me carry some heavier stuff down. I began going through the boxes, separating what needed to be trash and what would be kept. After a few hours, I had to stop because I had another appointment.

That evening, once Danny got home, we began together. I helped him to pull a few more heavy boxes down. I went through each box of books/photos and each envelope of bills and cards received over the years within these boxes. I emptied the contents and shredded the bills.

In the natural, The Lord is taking me into my NEW, abundant life, moving from destiny to reality. He's given me NEW strategies to take me into a large room with NEW connections, consideration, and contributions. The Lord showed me journal writings and testimonies from these boxes to be added to our website and my new book. This NEW will satisfy the insecurities of those He has chosen to undergird the NEW vision he has placed in my heart.

In the spirit: I am a Dreamer, and God has always revealed the spirit realm to me in my dreams. Last night, in my dreams, spirits of my past were trying to enter my life again. The spirit of fear was the main culprit. No need to dwell on what He showed in my dreams but to focus on the revelation that I received. With this knowledge, I speak to the spirit of fear and say, I see you, trying to rear your ugly head, and God rebukes you!

When I woke up, I immediately got up, entered my prayer closet, sat in my chair, and entered into prayer with thanksgiving and praise. I pulled out my prayer shawl and oil, anointing my prayer closet.

I got up and began walking through my house, pleading the Blood of Jesus, anointing the walls and doors, binding and rebuking every spirit that was not of God, and allowed into our home through the items I brought out of the attic. I'm a spirit-filled Christian. Of course, if you look closely at our walls, you will see the residue of anointing oil in the shape of crosses. Lol.

Please know that prayer invites God's peace into our home. Those who enter our home feel the peace and calmness of our home. Some would say your home is truly anointed and peaceful. Others would say your home is so quiet. But God! We know it's the presence of the Lord that fills our home.

However, I realized that through the years of cleaning and anointing every room and closet of my house, I had never gone into the attic to do the same. The Lord reminded me that evil spirits will attempt to hide in every nook and cranny of your home, including closets and the attic. After cleaning out and anointing every room and closet of my house anew, and the garage too, I lowered those attic stairs and began to climb, anointing every step as I went.

I have the authority to command every demonic spirit. I needed to renounce and release myself from any spiritual garbage that would attract flies. I bind and cast out all the spiritual files that would affect my anointing as I go into my NEW for this year, which includes my new book and website reclaiming my voice.

As I got to the top of the stairs, I began with thanksgiving and praise as I prayed extensively over our attic. Hallelujah. I then began to throw anointing oil in the four corners of the attic. I continued with praise and glory for what God is doing in our lives! Glory to God!

Finishing up, I began walking back down the attic stairs, praying in the spirit. My husband is awakened and comes out of the bedroom door, looks at me, sees me in my prayer shawl, and says, "I thought that's what you were doing." As he goes back into the bedroom, not to disturb me, I come into the bedroom behind him, since I had finished my morning prayer and anointing. I began to share with my husband what took place. I then began to share with him my conversation with the enemy:

Devil! You have no place here! Remember who I am! Don't let the Dr. title fool you! I'm still a prayer warrior and one of your biggest enemies in the spirit realm. I know who I am and whose I am! I am a Child of God! Remember that!

Now take that, devil!! God is Faithful! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
